Shake, Shake, Shake…. Shake your booty!

Why be moody when you can shake your booty!

This was a great meme to see this afternoon, and before my leg day!  There is nothing like shaking your groove thing to shake off the day.  So much happens in our days that we need to shake off and let go of, just tell it goodbye!

There are so many outside forces that attack us every day, that we have no control over; and yet we obsess over them.  I have this problem, as I am sure many others do; I have a keen ability to get into my head about things that I cannot change.  Why?  Why do we obsess over the things that we cannot change, it’s out of our hands – it’s out of our control.

There is no need to be moody – shake your booty!

Shake, Shake, Shake

Shake, Shake, Shake

Shake your booty…….

Shake your booty…….

I had a great day!  Things that I have been working toward are all starting to come together, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t still curveballs thrown my way.  Curveballs can create doubt, they can make you moody – I chose to shake my booty!

When the day weighs you down, you gotta get into the gym and shake your booty.

Leg day usually stresses me out, because I get nervous about what I am going to be able to accomplish.  They are usually my hardest day, because my pain is centralized in my lower back, hip and leg.  I also have low mobility in my left hip, knee and back.

But today I through all the moody away and rocked my squats…

5 set of 8 squats – hip wide stance, high bar; to target my outer quads.

5 sets of 10 leg presses

4 sets of 15 leg curls

3 sets of 15 leg extensions

5 sets of 8 good morning – weighted.  The best part of this portion of my workout, was when James came over to tell me to stick my butt out more.  Right after he left and I started my set, some Juvenile started blasting “Back that Azz Up”… So even my music wants my hammy’s to succeed!

10 minutes of step machine – Which sucks!!

I also included some sweet yoga stretching to the end of my workout.  My mobility has been completely off and my flexibility is non-existent.  I know lots of chronic pain sufferers and Lupus sufferers who have flexibility and relaxing issues; so I have started the 30-day yoga challenge.

I’m only in Day 2, so no change is noticed yet – but I will keep everyone posted as I get through the days.
